Teaser Alert 02: Oni Press

I've finished drawing over three-fourths of the big graphic novel project Jamie S. Rich and I are working on for Oni Press , so I thought I'd post some teaser art to celebrate. I only have three more chapters and a short epilogue left to draw, and then the book will be on it's way to the publisher. I can see the finish line from here! (Well, almost) And while you're waiting for the book to hit stores, all of you noir & pulp fans out there should swing by Jamie's website. He recently penned an excellent series of very noir short stories that should definitely not be missed.

Here's an illustration I did a couple of weeks ago for Bobby Pins & Mary Janes, the novel my collaborator and pal Jamie S. Rich is publishing online.

The graphic novel Jamie and I are working on for Oni Press is coming along really well (I just finished page 100/148 about an hour ago), and I hope to post some new teaser art soon.

Paranormal

2012 is off to a great start.

I’m very happy to announce that Paranormal, my noir/superhero graphic novel trilogy that was published here in France by Carabas éditions between September 2004 and May 2009, has found a new home with American publisher Evileye Books.

Ever since I began drawing Paranormal, I had hoped to see the series published in English one day, and am thrilled to have found a new home for the series at Evileye Books, a publisher who is clearly as committed to the series as I am. I don’t have specifics on the exact release dates yet, but we plan on remastering the first three volumes, and a series of new, original graphic novels set in the Paranormal universe are scheduled to follow as well. I’m really excited about coming back to these characters and working on new stories, and hope you enjoy them as much as I have writing and drawing them.

Teaser Alert: Scutella Editions

A few drawings and sketches from the graphic novel project I'm working on for French publisher Scutella éditions:


As with my project for Oni Press, I'm about a third of the way done with this book. I'm trying to finish as quickly as possible, but working on two projects at the same time isn't as easy as I thought it would be. The book is scheduled for a late 2012 release, so I seriously need to figure out a way to make better use of my time (like giving up sleep or something) if I want to meet my deadline.

As of this writing, I’m over a third of the way done, and things are coming along pretty well. The story is amazing, and a real pleasure to draw. I just wish I was faster so you could see it sooner...
